Her concern for gay, gender nonconforming, and neurodivergent children falling into the gender identity gravity well is right on the surface, focused, unapologetic. Her hope and grief for the wholeness of lesbian women, the return of lesbian community is equally palpable in this conversation. I am always honored to witness another's reality and sense of commitment.

As Co-Executive Director for the LGB Courage Coalition, Lauren is pivotal in mobilizing volunteers and orchestrating powerful direct actions. Much of her vital work occurs behind the scenes, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of volunteers’ efforts for maximum impact. The LGB Courage Coalition is a U.S.-based registered non-profit, passionately committed to reforming culture and medicine to embrace and support gender non-conformity without any medical intervention.
Lauren leverages her platform as a voice in the conversation, having been interviewed on and leading podcasts that delve into the complexities of medical transitions and their specific harms to the lesbian and gay community. Her strategic actions have made a significant impact, notably directing protests at the 2024 Endocrine Society Conference in Boston, MA, and the 2024 American Academy of Pediatrics Conference in Orlando, Florida. She also led a crucial action at the U.S. Supreme Court during the US v Skrmetti hearing in December 2024.

Political Notes
It's a complicated one, ya?, so admiring most work without qualification is difficult. This is partly down to Medusa Rising's own stance and commitments: which are now that all women and all progressives are under live threat by the regime and its brain trust in the Heritage Foundation and other far right groups.
This is our context now. We're all compromising with it until we overthrow it.
About minute 4 begins an argument that slips from women having pets instead of kids to a culture that worships animals on down the slope to culture that worships animals and sacrifices people. Yes, feminism is the new Satanic Panic. Turning Point's Women's Leadership Conference 2026. Also, don't be a nag. Obedience is freedom. &c.
Here's the political deal in the US right now. About 70% of us are more radically left than the Democratic party (on everything except gender identity issues) and about 30% of us are more radically right than the former GOP (on everything including gender identity issues – you feel me?). So I understand the frustration with the Democrats coming from LGBCC, WoLF, and WDI-USA. Plus, pressures coming from money and interest groups make the truth about either fascism or gender identity ideology and the harms both are doing nearly impossible to tell and stay in office to the solve the problem one ran to solve.
These systems have everyone cowed and cooperating and regretting it. Women are dying of pregnancy complications because abortion is evil. Children are being denied their full and robust lives because some men have issues with their self-concept.
Single issue and non-partisan advocates have a hard road these days because feminists' natural political alliances (weak though they were) have been shattered by the twin pressures trans activist capture of the left & now front-facing white-nationalist, christo-fascist authoritarianism of the right. So, we end up writing these reminders and caveats even when talking with organizations whose goals we deeply admire.
Children should grow up whole into whomever their adventure in this human life brings them to be. Lesbians and Gay Men should exist whole and in their deepest joy. And women should be alive and free live fully articulated lives, and if they choose to raise their children without fear of permanent medicalization, psychological disruption, or fear of deportation ... & so on and ...
Medusa Rising grieves this moment when support for women's liberation is so conditional on acceptance of terms that re-subjugate us to a regime of gender that permits and even celebrates the ongoing atrocities of femicide.
Single issue grassroots organizations are a absolutely necessary. We need experts, dedication, and implacable clarity to make any ground on any issue of harm. The systems are just so stuck, and so mis-originated, and so damaging that no demographic can afford to be without dedicated champions.
But KMN, if a single issue voter should be a thing.
Single issue voting is flattening in kind of the same way that pretending 'woman' is an identity is flattenting. Serious political agents do not operate in an 'all things being equal' mentality when none of the things are remotely equal. The christofash have a 250 year plan for returning the US to the grace of god's kingdom, and they will bundle all of us degenerates into the same fires along the way.
The one thing we should all understand like a cold bolt of lead in our bone marrow is that these people are playing for keeps.
