Back during the Iraq War, the Pulitzer winning US poet Jorie Graham wrote a collection of poems many of which echo for me now. See, my degree is in both philosophy and poetics, and Jorie Graham is a very philosophical poet. "Disenchantment" resonates with this moment in the US and the world, when so many of us are pushing on an a ascendant far-right (or well established one) in the name of our liberty.
Operation Overlord was the code name for the Allied assault at Normandy.
