OK It's 2026, So Now What?!

We hope the darkest weeks in the North, and brightest weeks in the South have given you the reflection or shown you the intention you need to bring into this wild (maybe beautiful, maybe terrifying) new year.

If you are in the US and able to, please get into a local organizing group -- Indivisible, 50501, Veterans Against Fascism are all good options and there are more -- and do whatever you can to take our Republic back and begin to build it new. It's #AllAgainstFash.

Last year, I started on this ambition with a pot of my savings and a few brave women. This year, we're still running on savings and have gathered a few more brave women. The deal I make with those women is this: we all get paid when we make a profit. We are not yet getting paid, but we are closer! Hence the bravery!

We already have several essays on feminist life in India & Western Asia, a series on sexism of and surround girl’s toys from a Brazilian writer, poetry about beauty and becoming, and both the Cixous Re-Framing and a series from Esmee about finding strategic intersection with abolitionist feminism (fingers crossed!).

Medusa Rising works like a collective, sometimes of many, sometimes of one who is many ;-) A few of us stepped back in 2025 to focus on life needs and other massive projects (PhDs, founding conferences), and then two new women stepped forward to dance. One from a Discord server, and the other from FiLiA 2025.

Harpy (her handle with us) is based in the US Northwest and comes to us through the Binding Chaos movement. Harpy's background is in graphics and game design, systems thinking, and cognitive differences, so she thinks about all the dimensions of meaning and perception.

Jaclyn Lanae – writer, coach, soul guide – will be guest posting on soulcraft and inviting live chats and text-based feminist conversations about stepping up into our power, taking our lives lifts and turns as tools for aligning our energy with our big moxified Arche-Mama! But also for falling love with ourselves, to having the peace and ease in our own skins to very deliberately choose for ourselves.

Kimble (also a handle) brings a background in philosophy, psychology, and social work, specifically in rape crisis. She's a UK based front line feminist, musician, artist, and polyglot! She's got ideas for all kinds of podcasts and group events, book reviews to share, and vast webs of dream and making in her.

A'Ja and Erin are both deep in their studies, but they will be posting again! W00t! Erin returns with her RadMatFeminism 101 series, and A'Ja returns with a series designed to help the Left See We're Right About Trans Issues now that they're learning how very dangerous overplaying a political hand can be. (Sheeeeezus!)

We have two texts this time, neither very demanding, and both confronting our sins against Mother Gaia by imagining ways forward, the deep, really deep changes we need to make.

It changes our feminism, our ambition, our urgency to have the window closing on the 12,000 years in which we became farmers, city builders, astronauts. We think a lot about how this pressure shapes 'utopic' projects.

The Curriculum explains the 4-D Framework (Society, Worldview, Economy, Ecology) for sustainable/Regenerative design and systems development. We'll discuss these two texts in comparison, explore questions, consider any deficits and alternatives, etc. Remember, the Reading Circle is not a class. Esmée is not teaching, only facilitating and contributing to a conversation. Read with your particular needs, concerns, dreams as your guide and bring your insights with you!

The inaugural anthology arrives this Autumn! Somewhere between Samhain and Yule. We plan for it to include the most read/viewed/loved of our posts and series, transcripts of our most watched/listened podcasts, and selected artworks.
