Instigator | by Laura Nováková
Red in glasses spilling scars / Kitchen counter full of vines / My heart starts then.
Gas flitting
Car becoming a death wish
A heated bladder full of chemicals
Spewing out of your mouth through the glass
My heart starts then.
Lights yellow, hurt, crystallized urine
Depriving myself of crystalline health
Red in glasses spilling scars
Kitchen counter full of vines
My heart starts then.
Head on withering chests
Quick remedy, I never meant, a deceiver in your state
A leech fed on this household
Curls brushed madness through the surfaces
My heart started then.
A knife in hand
I become a headbanger from all your tip-offs
A wake-up call of the daunted
Chicken-hearted cork-screws and wilted hay on your brain
My heart started then.
Indefinite suckling
Remains drilled in, lingers in the air
Looking for graces, chances, healing faces
And I swallow my pride each damn day.
My heart starts then.
Patriarchy throwing itself to my feet.
