Cancelled: The First Amendment & Women | by Esmee Streachailt
Essay | Men have a lot to fear.
TORCH2026 is in trouble.
Cancelled. Cancelled by a state university. Well, not cancelled. Just priced out of the use of a state facility for a public meeting. A small all-volunteer, radical feminist outfit ordered to come up with $40K for security in a late addendum. Cancelled because TRAs and sexual exploitation industry expansionists pressured the university with threats. Threats leveled at Total Woman Victory team member Sathi Patel, and her landlord, and her employer (both of whom stand with Sathi).
Meanwhile, back on TERF Island, women of the Green Party held an educational session on menopause, pelvic floor health, and female incontinence. Women wanted to talk about not suffering from peeing their pants while meeting the demands of a capitalist economic cycle that has nothing to do with human life cycles. And the TRA’s showed up to interrupt and crowd the space with a 30ft long Trans flag and a gaggle of mostly dudes all in their feelings that they were excluded from this obviously trans woman affirming topic.
Apparently @GussieGrips talking - over Zoom - about incontinence experienced by women in a fringe meeting at Green Party Conference was so awful, these men organised a display of their unhappiness with a big flag. Elaine can be heard at the end discussing urinary incontinence https://t.co/czQyuup7nL

Fuck my life if women still have a right to free and public speech! A right that cannot be accessed is just a raging memory.
That’s why we keep insisting on our words, on our rights, on the validity of our lived experiences As Women in a world that ‘sentences’ men to write essays when found to be rapers of women. Rape is the very core of men’s domination of women.
Rights secure access to material support for life, civic engagement, and political agency – to privacy while recovering from men’s violence and their gleeful bonding rituals over our humiliation.
The one thing both the Christian Sharia, the TRAs, the pimps and their thralls agree on is that WOMEN SHOULD NOT HAVE A PUBLIC PRESENCE OR CIVIL LIBERTIES. Women gathering might talk to each other about what the men do. And I assure you, we do. The horseshoe of fascist politics is on full display once again. All that the very same time that its favorite pastime, homosocial bonding over the sexually violated body of a woman, has for the third time in as many years been exposed by a brave woman and brought all the reactionary men out to play.

That’s a lot of unconstrained men’s speech. Hell, some of Cornell Rape Gang were punished with … more speech.
The root of male supremacy is the sex contradiction: that women are not ‘quite’ human, and that our only real existence is as a resource for men’s projects, men’s fun time, and men’s ego affirmation even as they take all the forms of our cultural denigration and call it ‘the trans woman’s soul’.
Isolated in a home. Silenced by ketamine. Trafficked to Rape Island for Richey Rich Rapers, fathers of the kind who raise the men in that frat at Cornell. Threatened with death by hundreds, sometimes thousands of random strangers by tweet. Doxxed. Arrested.
FOR OUR SPEECH. FOR OUR TRUTH. FOR OUR EXERCISE OF OUR POLITICAL & SOCIAL AGENCY.

Most governments, most men, even most women, stand by, cowed, by the violence, by the evergreen threats that mirror so perfectly the evergreen power of men’s sexual violence, they bent the knee, grateful for our courage but not grateful enough to support it. I get it. This shit is hard. What Sathi, Sasha have been put through for gathering women with sex based analysis of sex based oppression is unconscionable, indefensible, and happens every single time we look to be in real life with each other.
Did you miss me? Here's where I've been! 🧵 As many of you know, I am slated to host a workshop at TORCH this weekend, teaching on how to organize internationally & fight the legalization of prostitution in the U.S. Because of this, I'm subjected to racist Lesbophobic abuse. https://t.co/jQSGNeUaUo

The fascists, the allies of ‘the most vulnerable’ men, the rape industry lobbyists collude to prevent us from our right to free speech, our right to public assembly, our right to follow our conscience, our right to privacy, our right to be in the world on our terms. Our dangerous right to protect women, to educate women, to en-courage women to break with the forces these men unleash to control us – which is most of our popular cultures and all of our economies, plus the stochastic terrorism of their very personalized violence.
Violences designed to be enjoyed by the destruction of our very selves.
Meanwhile, in other fascist territories where femicide is rampant, the fascists are scare for the poor widdle mens. Feminism has gone too far, you know? Sound familiar? Should sound familiar.

This is what we gather to speak about and organize around at radical feminist conferences, especially those like TORCH that intend to draw new generations of women in awaking to the possibly of humane world where they can trust their male friends not to rape them and invite 50 other boys over in the chat. This is the most dangerous kind of radical feminist. The young one, the young and wise to the games.
Patriarchal negation shuts down conversations men fear. Feminist negation opens conversations men fear. Men have a lot to fear.
