How does all this fit together? We have been feeling our way into that. And from here on out, All This and Fit Together will have more to do with and from You.

Like, for example, a member suggested inviting, “Jamie Reed from the LGB Courage Coalition to the podcast, stat! She is one of my personal sheroes because she is brilliant, funny, and utterly up-to-date on everything happening in trans land that affects women in general and lesbians in particular.” YES ma’am! We’re working on it right now! This is part of the larger conversation that does not get had enough. We have everything crossed she will say yes because that is the sweet spot: important, informed, and a good time!

So.

The Gorgon Posse sees an enlivening cycle could develop between conversation in the server, in the live sessions, and the bigger picture of Building Coalition and Making World. The questions and suggestions you gave us in the member poll feel to us like amazing topics to explore together, and publish about, and cross-post on, and develop into podcast episodes and whatnot. But, but, but what they also are: they are openings to reaching out to invite other thought-focused groups, problem-addressing grassroots projects, and politically effective organizations to connect maybe to us but more importantly with each other.

Esmée meant it when she said ‘coalition’ and ‘building worlds’.

We see the relation between these elements – our conversation and deeper worldwide connection – as feeding each other. Let’s be alert to which of us goes on a fertile romp with an idea and encourage her to write it, or talk it through, or reach out to some other feminists working on that thing and see what can happen. That's basically what Esmée is doing when she drops into women’s comments or DMs to say “would you want to write that up for us?” Let’s take each other’s expertise seriously and our possibilities with wild practicality. What can happen if we get a synergy going?

We bet the discussion of Feminist International by Veronica Gago in August will spark a lot of productive ideas and action.

Is Medusa Rising a cultural project? A spiritual project? A political project? Yes. A WORLD has many dimensions, it will need many feminists with many knowledges, skills, and wisdoms. We hope Medusa Rising can be a (not the, just a) node of coherence in a flux of feminist advancement.

You've seen what’s going on with feminists in Central and South America, across Africa? Feminists in the Global North are way behind, we have lost ground, and we are not able partners to these women at this time.

We want a world where women feel safe because we are safe. We want a world where every kind of woman is honored in reality and not only in rhetoric. We want a world centered in the care and well-being of human beings and our gorgeous, limited Earth.

Because trust us, the consequences for patriarchy’s hubris are coming.

No one project can make all of that manifest in the world, but networks of projects can if they share visions and values and trust each other to act locally as needed. Can we mutate our lifestyles? Can we adapt our systems? Shed our calcified institutions for new orders that serve us now? Will we use our reason to get clear with reality? Will we embody this radical or matriarchal or Hyperlithic or core or resurgent feminisms in time? Max Dashú has suggested the term Feminist Resurgency to capture both our resurgence and our insurgency. In any case, some new energy is afoot. The future is unwritten. Still. Let Medusa Rising and our server be a cauldron where we can cook up ways to write and build it.
